Most likely, yes — but do not try to dry it out, as drying causes corrosion and further loss. Seal the drive in an airtight zip-lock bag and bring or post it to us as soon as possible so we can stabilise and recover it in the lab.

Can you recover deleted, formatted or corrupted files?

In most cases, yes. Logical failures such as lost partitions, accidental reformatting, viruses, corruption or deleted files are recoverable as long as the data has not been overwritten. Stop using the device and contact us as soon as possible.
